Our mission

Children are naturally incredibly talented: they learn new languages effortlessly. Until the age of eight, their brains are exceptionally sensitive to language, allowing them to grow up playing multiple languages. And that is important, because those who speak more languages have more opportunities. At school. At work. In life.

That is why, in addition to our books and songs, we have developed a language app especially for children who cannot yet read and write. But we are more than a learning method. We have a big mission. A mission to give every child, wherever they grow up, access to the power of language.

Language belongs to everyone

For every subscription sold, we give one away to a family through the ReadingExpress.
Children who work with our app through school may continue using it at home free of charge. Because learning does not stop in the classroom.
We believe every child has the right to a good start and that starts with language.

De app wordt succesvol ingezet bij NT2-leerlingen bij groep 1 t/m 4. Leerlingen leren spelenderwijs nieuwe Nederlandse woorden. Door de aantrekkelijke vormgeving, differentiatie, afwisselende spellen en geluiden zijn zij intrinsiek gemotiveerd. Een groot pluspunt is dat de woorden voorafgaand aan elk spel duidelijk worden uitgesproken, wat de woordenschatontwikkeling ondersteunt. De app is ook thuis goed te gebruiken. Kinderen kunnen zelfstandig of samen met hun ouders oefenen, wat niet alleen leerzaam is voor de leerlingen, maar ook ouders actief betrekt bij de taalontwikkeling. De communicatie met Jungle The Bungle verloopt vlekkeloos: er wordt gevraagd en geluisterd naar feedback en de app blijft ontwikkelen met gelijke kansen voor ieder kind als doel. Kortom, Jungle The Bungle is een motiverende en effectieve app waar leerkrachten, leerlingen en ouders zeer enthousiast over zijn!

Jungle the Bungle was immediately liked by the children. The programme is clear, playful and well applicable in the classroom. Over the past few weeks, I had the opportunity to try out Jungle the Bungle in my newcomer class. The app was immediately well received by the children. The cheerful characters and games are very appealing and the reward system is motivating. As a teacher, I like that the app is adaptive and that pupils can continue practising Dutch independently and in a casual way. A plus is that they can also work with the app at home. I have therefore become enthusiastic and look forward to further developments of this language app!

In all our kindergarten groups, we use Jungle the Bungle to offer foreign-speaking and multilingual children additional support in learning the Dutch language. A big plus is that the app also allows children to expand their vocabulary at home. In addition, they find the game incredibly fun to play, which makes the learning process extra stimulating. A real win-win situation!

Nice change to be able to do something so fun at school. What I notice as a teacher is that they learn a new language very quickly. At an older age, this is much more difficult.

About us

Hi, hello, hola....We are Amber and Carolina, the driving forces behind Jungle the Bungle. Our big dream is to make as many children as possible happy with our books, with the Jungle the Bungle language app or with our cheerful songs. With Jungle the Bungle, children learn new languages very fun and easily. There are currently two multilingual children's books available suitable for toddlers, pre-schoolers and preschoolers. And behind the scenes we are working hard on an interactive language app, in cooperation with EarlyBird so that children learn Dutch, English or Spanish in a playful way.

Scientific research shows that children who are exposed to multiple languages at an early age benefit in many areas. No wonder more and more schools are starting to offer a second language, such as English or Spanish, from grade 1.

Support disadvantaged children

Our opinion? That every child in the world has a right to fun and education. It is one of the pillars of Jungle the Bungle. That is why, with every product sold, we give a book as a gift to an underprivileged child. Every year, we let people know via this website and social media which charity we will donate the books to. So if you decide to buy one, please know that you are not only doing your own child a favour, but also another child!
