Founding team

We would like to take you on our Jungle the Bungle journey. Carolina (founder Jungle the Bungle): the idea was actually born in 2015 when my twins were 3 years old. A few years later Amber became co-founder of this beautiful brand.

Carolina

Hi, I am Carolina and the creator of this multilingual concept. Having been raised bilingual myself and having spoken both Dutch and Spanish at a young age, I have a great affinity with languages.

Amber

Hey, I'm Amber and I also work for Jungle the Bungle. What I love about this concept is that it really has a purpose: to contribute to young children's language development.

Our story

2015
Concept Jungle the Bungle.
In late 2015, the idea was born to develop something for young children to learn new languages in a fun and easy way. Carolina: Jungle the Bungle is especially fun and makes children happy. Children can recognise themselves in the different animals and their characters. This way, children learn that everyone is different and that that is okay. Jungle the Bungle supports equal opportunities for all children in the world. Therefore, for every product sold, we donate the same product to another child.

Multilingual books
In 2017, the first 2 books of Jungle the Bungle were launched. The book 'Eetfeest' in Dutch, English and Spanish which allows children to learn about numbers, colours and animals in the 3 languages. And the book 'The Adventure of Gravity' in Dutch and English in which children learn about gravity in a fun way. For every book we sell, we also donate a book.

Dragons Den
It is proven that Jungle the Bungle can grow into a beautiful and big brand by our participation in the preliminary rounds of Dragons Den. It only came our way a little too early. Just as well, taking part together with Monito was an important milestone for Jungle the Bungle.

Beta version app
To find out whether children and parents would be interested in an app to learn a new language easily, we developed a beta version of the app. We received a lot of positive feedback. We are taking all the learnings into the current version we are developing.

Crowdfunding successful
In early 2022, we launched a crowdfunding campaign. Within six weeks, we had the funding in place and even went over the set target. More than 100 investors joined the Jungle the Bungle Family and together they invested over 100.000 euros. With that money, we are now building an incredibly cool and fun app together with app builder Hulan.

Carolina

About me

Hi, I am Carolina and the creator of Jungle the Bungle. Because of my Spanish mother and Dutch father, I was raised bilingual. This allowed me to experience myself how special it is to speak a second language. The idea to start Jungle the Bungle came when I realized how young children learn languages effortlessly. As a mother of young twins at the time, I saw that there were not so many fun and easy ways to teach young children a new language. So the idea of developing something myself was born. There are now many studies showing that young children learn a new language incredibly easily. Until the age of 10, the part in your brain with which you learn languages is super active, after that it declines somewhat. After age 15, it is just as difficult to learn a new language as it is for an adult. I'm super proud that so many parents and children are made happy by Jungle the Bungle and that we can contribute to the positive development of young children.

Amber

About me

Hey, I'm Amber and I became cofounder of Jungle the Bungle just over 3 years ago. What I love about this concept: that it really has a purpose. It contributes to young children's language development. And just as important: Jungle the Bungle is, above all, FUN! We believe that intrinsic motivation to do something is the best motivation. Learning should be fun! Being able to speak several languages offers so many opportunities. The younger you are, the easier it is. I have always had a passion for travelling and different cultures and therefore also with languages. Besides, I find children such a fun target group because they are full of imagination and have a big world of experiences. We are full of ideas as well and working on more cool staff, so keep a close eye on the website!
