Gemiddeld 10–15 minuten per dag is genoeg om kinderen zichtbaar vooruitgang te laten boeken. De app kan zelfstandig gebruikt worden, waardoor jij als leerkracht nauwelijks extra tijd kwijt bent.
Kinderen leren meer dan 500 basiswoorden in 3 maanden. Dit zijn woorden die aansluiten bij de BAK-lijst en de streefwoordenlijst van groep 3. Ze oefenen met thema’s die in de kleuterklas herkenbaar zijn (zoals familie, eten, dieren, kleuren, school, emoties).
Nee. Jungle the Bungle is juist ontworpen voor leerkrachten die geen NT2-specialist zijn, maar wel anderstalige kinderen willen ondersteunen. De app begeleidt kinderen volledig, terwijl jij hun voortgang kunt volgen in het lerarenportaal.
De app is ontwikkeld voor kinderen van 2 tot 8 jaar en sluit perfect aan bij groep 1 en 2 van de basisschool. Ook groep 3-leerlingen met een taalachterstand kunnen er nog veel baat bij hebben.
Ja, elk kind krijgt een eigen spelersprofiel waarmee ze ook thuis verder kunnen oefenen. De voortgang wordt automatisch gesynchroniseerd met het lerarenaccount.
Nee. Jungle the Bungle is ideaal voor anderstalige kinderen die Nederlands leren, maar ook geschikt voor Nederlandstalige kinderen die een extra taal willen oefenen (Engels of Spaans). De app past zich automatisch aan het niveau van het kind aan.
Je kunt de app 4 weken gratis in je klas proberen. In die periode zie je via het lerarenaccount precies hoeveel woorden elk kind al beheerst en hoe hun taalbegrip zich ontwikkelt.
Ja. Jungle the Bungle is 100% advertentievrij, AVG-proof en speciaal ontwikkeld voor het onderwijs. Er worden geen gegevens gedeeld met derden.
De app is beschikbaar op Apple- en Android-tablets en er is een webversie voor laptops en pc’s. Er is dus geen specifieke hardware nodig om te starten.
Na 4 weken kun je beslissen of je wilt doorgaan. Er zijn geen verplichtingen en je zit nergens aan vast. Als je verder wilt, kun je eenvoudig een schoollicentie aanvragen.
Ja. We bieden regelmatig korte webinars en stap voor stap begeleiding/uitlegvideo’s waarin we laten zien hoe je de app effectief inzet in de klas. Zo kun je binnen één dag starten.
Ja. Je kunt Jungle the Bungle flexibel inzetten, bijvoorbeeld in kleine groepjes of tijdens taalwerkmomenten. Zelfs met een paar tablets kunnen alle kinderen op hun beurt oefenen.
Leerkrachten geven aan dat kinderen sneller Nederlands begrijpen, meer durven praten en dat de taalachterstand zichtbaar kleiner wordt. De app wordt inmiddels op tientallen basisscholen met plezier gebruikt.

Yes! Currently, you can choose Dutch, English or Spanish for both the base language (the language you may already master) and the target language (the language you want to learn). Even if you don't speak any of the three languages, you can use the app. Only the instructions when starting the app are in the basic language, but as the app works very intuitively, you don't really need these instructions.
Yes, more languages will eventually be added. Which ones these are and when is not yet clear. We expect to add languages such as French, Italian, German, Portuguese, Arabic and Polish within the next two years.
To learn a language well, it is important to engage with it at as many different times as possible. However, this does not have to be long. We recommend playing for 10-15 minutes every day. By playing regularly, children remember words and sentences better.
We encourage children to learn a language in different ways. The app is just one way. We also offer children's books and songs. Our advice is to use the app for 10-15 minutes a day.
We aim for a positive play and learning experience for every child, which is why we work with a back-end algorithm. The advantage of this is that each child learns at their own pace and level.
Yes! Besides the languages app on smartphone and tablet, a web version is now also available. However, the subscription must be purchased via the App Store or Play Store.
For now, you can only use the languages app if you have selected the Netherlands or Belgium as your country for your App Store or Play Store account. We are currently not available in other countries.
Yes indeed. Jungle the Bungle encourages children to learn languages through play in as many different ways as possible. Besides the app, we also offer books and songs to playfully learn English, Spanish or Dutch.
The most effective way to learn a new language is to play the app daily for 10-15 minutes. You learn a language faster by practising daily, which is why we recommend playing the languages app briefly every day instead of an hour or more once a week.
Building and maintaining the Jungle the Bungle language app is expensive. We also keep adding new games, songs, words, etc. on a regular basis. As the app is for children, we have chosen to keep it ad-free.
Jungle the Bungle donates the subscriptions to children whose parents cannot afford to subscribe to the app. We cooperate with the VoorleesExpress and VluchtelingenWerk Nederland for this purpose.
